Eco Policy
Idess Retail are committed to the protection of the environment at all levels within our organisation. Idess Retail comply fully with environmental legislation and aim to reduce our environmental impacts at all times. Idess Retail work with the carbon trust to reduce our carbon footprint and have a three year plan to half our emissions and obtain 14001.
We are strategic partners with LCA companies, through them we constantly evaluate the sustainability of any products produced and recommend improvements and savings to our clients. We have also gained experience of working with BREEAM connected envirnments.
We reduce impacts by:
1.Minimising waste by reduced consumption and operation of effective and environmentally sound waste management and recycling procedures
2. Reducing energy use through effective education and awareness and the installation of energy efficient technology where appropriate
3. Implementing a purchasing policy which considers the environmental impacts of the products and services we utilise, including where possible and fit for purpose, the purchase of recycled and recyclable materials and those with minimum packaging
4.Providing our staff with the necessary awareness, education, training and resources to implement this policy5.Developing environmental management action plans and regularly assessing whether the objectives and targets are being met
